Annie grew up on the family farm in Ogema, WI and moved to Chicago after graduating High School. She married Matthew A. Kosmider in 1954 and raised 3 children. They were long-time residents of Brookfield, IL and members of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Brookfield. Annie was involved in many church activities and held various leadership positions in the church’s Women’s Group. She loved telling stories to her grandchildren about her life growing up on the farm with her parents, brothers and sisters in rural Wisconsin.

Annie loved all her family and was the one to organize family events and family reunions. Her parents were born in Ireland and immigrated to Canada, then to the United States in the early 1900’s. Annie always loved speaking of her Irish heritage, and, in 1999, she traveled to Ireland and took a tour of the country with her good friend Louise Schraub. Looking at pictures from the trip and talking about the sights she saw and people she met brought her great joy the rest of her life.
