Bonnie L. Baker nee Grossman, 67, a longtime resident of Brookfield, passed away, January 9, 2021 at Landmark of Des Plaines Rehabilitation Center. Bonnie graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange in 1970. She worked at Continental Bank in Chicago, First National Bank in La Grange and Morton Credit Union in Cicero. She was very active in service during her time on the PTL of St. Paul's Church School and was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where her and late husband, Larry, always volunteered whenever they could. She enjoyed spending time with her son, Ryan and close long-time friends and neighbors. To say that she was a people person would be an understatement. Her life revolved around the people she built deep connections with over the years. Bonnie embodied her three core values in life: kindness, selflessness and service. Her latter years were rough for her but she kept a sense of humor and beautiful smile all the way through. Bonnie is survived by her son, Ryan L. Baker and Zoe Berk; granddaughters, Harmony Lisowski and Angelique Baker; cousins, the Johnson Family, Jan (Ron) Miller, the Cekal Family, Dan (Cheryl) Koeritz and godmother, Arlene Schwandt. She was preceded in death by her late husband Lawrence Baker whom she married on October 10,1982 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookfield; her beloved brother Wayne F. Grossman and her parents Clarence Grossman, Edward Lorenz, Violet Lorenz nee Koeritz.
