Thomas George Nelson

Thomas G. Nelson, “Uncle Tom,” was surrounded by loved ones when he left this world on November 15, 2023. He always said family is very important and he loved his role as the Patriarch of the family. Son of the late George and Emily (nee Mierzwa). He is survived by his dear brother James (“Jimmy”) Nelson; beloved niece and nephew-in-law Janice (nee Nelson) and Allen Brichta; beloved nephew and niece-in-law Tom and Lynn (nee Maday) Nelson and adored great nephews Zac (Brichta), Luke and Tommy (Nelson). 

 

Uncle Tom loved life and enjoyed socializing with all. He always looked to the brighter side and saw no reason to let things or people bother him. He remained positive throughout life and loved to provide his nurses and family with stories that could be passed on. We will miss his smile and easy laughter and all his expressions, but he wanted all to know “it’s been a wild ride!”
